Mayan Grand teaser launched

A team from Malaysia is making a joint-venture Tamil and English Bi-lingual called Mayan. Actor Vinod who has previously acted in 2 movies overseas, is in the lead role. At the teaser launch of the film in Chennai, the hero said ," This is my first movie in Kollywood. My team was amazing and I feel blessed to be part of this project, thanks to Lord Siva who is at the core of this film."
Tamil actor Priyanka is his co-star in the English version. "Im proud that I am part of a Hollywood movie. Dato Mohanasundaram is the pillar of the team. I thank my director and Vinod and the team," she said.
The film is produced by Fox Crow Studios and GVKM Elephant Pictures. The event was attended by the Malaysian producers Dato Paduka Seri Dr Mohana Sundaram Tangkaveloo and Dato Kanesh Mohana Sundaram along with
Logi Dhasan Thanaraj deputy director Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai.
Cameraman Arun Prasad said, "In 2011 I met director Rajesh Kannan for 5 minutes. But we spoke for 3 long hours. He ended up discussing so many stories. We have a good synch so it was a jolly experience shooting for this this. "
Ramesh Acharya, who has done the poster design for films like Petta is doing the vfx for this film. The art direction is by Vanaraj who revealed that the director works very systematically. Chief guest actor Soundararajan said, " Rajesh is a very vibrant and positive director and I know him from many years. I was very impressed with this teaser. I hope to be part of the film too."
Nivetha Joseph has designed the costumes. " This film has given me a very good creative platform,"she revealed.
Mr Yogi, the CEO of GVKM Elephant revealed that they are producing a film currently in Australia as well, titled Aiyai. "Rajesh has a wonderful team and we are excited about doing more projects in TN."
Perumaan The Rajinikanth is director and co-producer of Mayan, J Rajesh Kannan's previous film. He has also worked in the sphere of T.V. Speaking at the event he said, " Sivan is the Mayan of this film. Anyone can find a connect with this film script, be it an American, Chinese, Indian or Mexican. So I thought why not make it on English as well. The film has got both fantasy and reality. I wanted to show Sivan with a different attitude and Vinod seemed best suited with his built and looks. "
The film will continue the shooting in March.
