By Rinku Gupta Thambi is the next directorial of Jeethu Joseph ( of Papanasam fame), starring Karthi , Jyotika, Sathyaraj, Seetha, Sowcar Janaki,  Anson Paul and Nikhila Vimal. The film is produced by Viacomm 18 and Jyotika's  brother Suraj Sadanah under his Paralell Minds banner.                                    Suraj sadanah When a politician ( Sathyaraj) living in the Nilgiris, discovers that his long lost son, who left home 15 years ago, is now to be found in Goa, he rushes to bring him home. Unbeknownst to him and the family is the fact that  Saravanan ( Karthi) is a con man who, actually in cahoots with a cop ( Ilavarsan), plans to rob the family and escape. But things don't quite go according to plan. The elder sister in the family,  Parvathi ( Jyotika) is not very accepting of him in the beginning. Things soon go out of hand when a murder...

By Rinku Gupta The grand audio launch of the Jyotika , Karthi starrer Thambi was held today. Speaking om the occasion, Jyotika said, " This film is special for me since my brother Suraj Sadanah turns producer with his Paralell Minds banner. And also, my brother-in-law , Karthi, is acting with me. I can hardly believe we are sharing screen space together!" About Sathyaraj who plays thier father she added, " My kids were very impressed that I was acting with him. They said, ' you are so lucky you are acting with Katappa!'" She revealed that she was thrilled to see herself on the first look poster of the film, something which is usually reserved for the heroes. The film is directed by Jeethu Joseph with musuc by Govind Vasantha of hit film 96 fame.
