E4 Entertainment, who produced and bankrolled debut venture Adithya Varma of Dhruv Vikram and have produced many super hit Malayalam films such as Ishq, will be producing a movie besides working on a web series on forest brigand Veerappan based on the book by IPS Vijaykumar. 'Both the ventures will be based on the book 'Chasing the Brigand' penned by former ADGP Vijaykumar on Veerappan. We thank Vijaykumar,who is now the senior security advisor in the Union Home Ministry for keeping faith in them and giving us the permission to make a movie and web series based on his book. The actor has confirmed that this Raghava Lawrence directorial will release directly on  the OTT platform Disney Hotstar. The film marks the debut of ace choreographer,  actor and director Raghava Lawrence into Bollywood. The horror comedy is a remake of Kanchana which was a super hit in Tamil.  Raghava Lawrence acted in and directed the original in Tamil. Currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, it's the first Tamil film to release directly, (sans a theatrical release) on OTT, during the lockdown. Jyotika plays Venba, a lawyer, who along with her mentor Pethuraj( K Bhagyaraj, aptly cast) fights for the rights of  Jyothi, wrongly accused and branded a child lifter and killed  for crimes she did not commit. Venba, who is fighting her first case,  is up against a powerful politico ( Thiagarajan, who nails it) and his lawyer ( Parthiepan in a convincing performance). Nonetheless Dulquer Salmaan   rolled out a festive gift in the form of a second look poster for the movie. After Second Show, Dulquer's debut film, the director of the same, Srinath Rajendran and Dulquer, are reuniting for this mega project with a reported budget of Rs 35 crore. The second look poster shows a very stylish Dulquer with swag, sending fans into a tizzy. The poster features  Dulquer as “Kurup”in a stylish get-up with a coat and sun glasses.  The film reportedly draws inspiration from the life of the infamous fugitive Sukumara Kurup.
