Movie Review : Sumo

A young man Shiva ( mirchi shiva ) works as a surfing coach for a centre run by his mentor ( VTV Ganesh). He loves a girl in the neighbourhood (played by Priya Anand ). One day, a Japanese man ( Toshiro) is washed ashore on beach. He is found by Shiva who takes him under his care, his mind being like that of a toddler . Shiva is shocked to discover one day that the man he calls Ganesh, is actually a Japanese Sumo wrestler, renowned in his country. But he also discovers that Ganesh life is in danger. Now Shiva is determined to take him home to Japan and to safety. Does he accomplish the task successfully? Does Ganesh get back his memory? The film is well made with pleasant visuals, an interesting storyline set in the unusual backdrops of surfing in India and Sumo in Japan, and a large ensemble cast of actors who keep the proceedings interesting.
