 7 Screen Studios',  Ajay Gnanamuthu's directorial, the much awaited Vikram starrer Cobra, released in theatres on 31st August. Madhi ( Vikram) is a brilliant mathematician who is based in Chennai. The best kept secret even his girlfriend ( Srinidhi Shetty) does not know is that he is actually a seasoned aassasin on hire,who travels across the world killing important people, at the behest of his mentor  (KS Ravikumar) using maths as an important tool in his uniquely precise killing style. A series of clues links him to these killings and Aslan, an Interpol agent ( Irfan Pathan in a debut) is hot on the heels of the killer in an investigation aided by a student Judith (Meenakshi Govind). Why is Madhi doing what he did does? What is the dark secret in his life that he is hiding?  The film belongs to Vikram all the way and the actor revels in the various get -ups that he gets to perform in.   இப்போது வருகிற எந்தப் படத்தைப் பார்த்தாலும் வெட்டு, குத்து, ரத்தம் என்று மனித உயிரை மலிவாகக் காட்டும் வகையில் காட்சிகள் வருவது சகஜமாகி வருகிறது. இந்த நிலையில் உயிரின் விலை மதிப்பற்றது. மனிதன் ஒருவனின் உயிரை எடுக்க யாருக்கும் உரிமையோ அதிகாரமோ கிடையாது என்கிற கருத்தை வலியுறுத்தும் வகையில் வித்தியாசமான யாரும் சொல்லாத கோணத்தில் உருவாகியுள்ள படம் தான் '21 கிராம்ஸ்'.  இந்தப் படத்தை யான் சசி இயக்கி உள்ளார். அவர் ஏற்கெனவே சில படங்களில் உதவி இயக்குநராகப் பணியாற்றியவர். இந்தப் படத்தில் கதாநாயகனாக மோகணேஷ் என்கிற அறிமுக நடிகர் நடித்துள்ளார். அண்மையில் காலமான குணச்சித்திர நடிகர் பூ ராமு ஓர் அழுத்தமான கதாபாத்திரத்தின் மூலம் இந்த படத்தில் நடித்து, படம் பார்ப்பவர்கள் மனதில் நிறைகிறார். இப்படத்திற்கு  சௌந்தர்ராஜன், அன்பு டென்னிஸ் என்கிற இருவர் ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளனர். இந்த இருவருக்கும் சில படங்களிலும் இணைய தொடர்களிலும் விளம்பரப் படங்களிலும் பணியாற்றிய அனுபவம் உண்டு. இப்படத்திற்கு இசையமைத்துள்ள விஜய் சித்தார்த், ராக்கி புகழ்  நடிகர் வசந்த் ரவி நடித்துள்ள புதிய படத்திற்கு இசையமைத்து வருகிறார்.
