Film Review:TRANSFORMERS:RISE OF THE BEASTS

Influenced by the Beast Wars storyline, the Transformers series of movies is a famous film franchise based on Hasbro's Transformers toy line.  Six films have been made so far, out of which Michael Bay had directed the first 5 films while he produced the 6th film, Bumblebee (2018) which was directed by Travis Knight. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the 7th instalment of the series and is as a sequel to Bumblebee.  Por Thozhil starring Ashok Selvan, Sarath Kumar and Nikhila Vimal hits screens on June 9th, directed by debutant Vignesh Raja. The cop thriller revolves around 2 cops, very different from each other in both age and experience, who are thrown together to solve a series of killings.  Prakash (Ashok Selvan), a rookie cop, a gold medallist who goes by the book,  reading up on crime solving methods, has to intern with a senior eccentric but experienced crime branch officer, Loganathan ( Sarath Kumar) and travel to Trichy to solve a series of killings. Veena ( Nikhila Vimal) is a techie cop who accompanies them in this special mission.  What happens when the two men, poles apart in temperament and experience, work together? Are they at loggerheads? What are they up against? Are they able to resolve their differences and solve the crimes?
