While the film was launched  with a simple ritual ceremony, the shooting is scheduled to go on floors shortly.  The film will have editing by Sreekar Prasad. Thiru is handling cinematography for this film and Suresh Selvarajavan will be the production designer. Actor Catherine Tresa met Sye Raa hero Megastar Chiranjeevi and congratulated him on the grand success of the film and his stupendous portrayal of the pioneer freedom fighter.

By Rinku Gupta Konidela Productions' Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a mammoth, lavish production, a fictionalised account, based on the life of  Uyyalawada Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, who took up arms against the oppressive British rule. Megastar Chiranjeevi plays the role of the illustrious warrior, in an ambitious project which aims to bring to the fore a freedom fighter whose rebellion preceeded the 1857 Mutiny and whose contribution thus deseves the spotlight. Made in Telugu and dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Malyalam and Kannada, the film will no doubt thus take the story to a wider audience, and rightly so.
