Now, during the tough days of the corona pandemic lockdown,  Deverakonda has set up a Middle Class Fund ( MCF) as part of The Deverakonda Foundation ( TDF) which he had started last year. And the Internet just can't stop raving at the traditional pics Deverakonda has put out, with his family. Posting a pic with his parents and brother,  all dressed in Traditional finery, post the grihapravesham of their new home, Deverakonda posted a tweet,  "Her happiness His pride , Our new home! The film with Karthi and ( Vijay Deverakonda's    Dear Comrade fame)   Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, is called Sulthan. The film is being shot in Chennai, Dindigul and its surrounding areas. A rumour spread that the film is based on Tipu Sultan and his life.  So, as the film was nearing completion, protestors landed up on location at Malaikottai, near Dindugal and tried to  disrupt the shoot on 24 September. As a result, the producers have strongly refuted such theories in a detailed  statement stressing that  the movie is tilted Suthan but has nothing to do with the life of Tipu Sultan. The production house felt deeply concerned about and condemned the current trend of  people taking offence on several issues, often for personal gains, and  thereby curbing  the freedom of filmmakers.

The Telugu film produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by debutant Bharat Kamma is being releasing big (being dubbed Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada) in all 4 southern languages and has already created a huge buzz especially with the press and media  interactions and live concerts by the lead actors Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna . Now, the good news is that even before release, none other than Bollywood biggie Karan Johar, who has watched the film, will be doing the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade.
