Movie Review : Raghu Thatha

 Kayalvuzhi ( Keerthi Suresh)  is an author who writes under a pseudonym to hide her female identity. She works in a bank in her village, and is an activist, who amongst other issues, protests against Hindi imposition. However, she is under pressure from her family and her loving thatha Raghothaman (MS Bhaskar) to get married. Thus, she gets engaged to Tamil Selvan ( Ravindra Vijay) who is a progressive minded individual and supports her causes. But one day,  Kayal's life turns upside down when she uncovers a secret about her fiancé. What is the problem she faces? Does she find a solution?   Set in the 60's in the background of the anti Hindi movement, the film takes on the theme but at the same time, weaves in a personal angle which takes the story forward in an interesting manner, while at the same time,  dealing with other issues relating to female emancipation and freedom of choice. Movie Review: Demonte Colony 2

A young widow,  Debbie ( PriyaBhavani Shankar) is in search for  the reason behind the mysterious death of  her husband Sam.  After a series of investigations, Debbie discovers that Srinivasan ( Arulnithi) who is in a coma due to an accident,  is in danger  of losing his life along with his brother, a rich tycoon Raghunandan (Arulnithi) as both are affected by an evil force that attacks anyone reading a particular book and after that enters a house in Demonte Colony. The event happens  every 6 years. According to the details in the book, if any one saves the life of the victim then the chain of deaths  will be broken forever. Will Debbie and Raghunandan be able to break that chain? What dangers do they find themselves in , in the process? Do they survive? The making of the film is on a grand scale and the solid BGM of Sam CS helps to elevate the action and horror scenes, adding to the suspense and thrills of the  genre. The vfx and camerawork...
