 Studio Green's GV Prakash starrer Rebel hits screeens today, March 22nd. Kathir ( GV Prakash) and a group of his friends, whose parents work as labour in the  Munnar tea estates, come to study in a college in Palakkad during the 80's period, with dreams  to empower themselves for a better future.  But there, they get ragged badly and mistreated by a senior among the Malayali students,  Anthony ( Venkitesh), and his friends, who makes their life hell, as they are  juniors and moreover, Tamil- speaking students. One silver lining for Kathir, is a co-student Sara ( Mamitha Baiju) who is kind to him.
