Film Review: Tamilarasan

The much delayed Vijay Antony film Tamilarasan, directed by Babu Yogeshwaran, hit screens on April 22nd. Tamilarasan ( Vijay Antony) is an upright cop who makes an enemy out of a senior official (Sonu Sood), during a student protest. On the home front, his happy married life with wife ( Ramya Nambeesan) is shattered when his son ( Master Pranav, son of Jayam Ravi) gets, diagnosed with a heart condition. A big hospital charges,an astronomical amount for a heart transplant but delays his son's operation, deciding to give the donor heart to a big central minister. As the child has only few days to live,  Tamilarasan, in a fit of desperation and rage, takes the law into his own hands,  and holds the doctor as hostage on a hospital floor. The entire force,  is after him, while the hospital's greed backhand dealings are exposed. Time is running out. Will Tamilarasan be able to save his child?  The film seeks to expose the corporate  greed of hospitals, with Sangeetha and YG Mahendra
