  A retired Supreme Court lawyer living in the hills,  Dharamaraj ( SA Chandrasekar) encounters a stray dog who leads him to the dead body of her puppy who seems to have been killed by a vehicle. Moved by her plight, Dharamraj files a case against a local bigwigs son, Ranjit Sekar. When the case comes to court, thy r powerful Ranjit is, strongly defended by Nandagopal ( Balaji Sakthivel). Soon, though he tries his best,  Dharamraj is at his wits end to resolve the case and bring justice. What happens next? Kooran is an unusual story and as such kudos to the team for thinking of a unique subject with a novel premise and a several social messages. SA Chandrasekar puts in a sincere and convincing performance and the scenes with the dog ( who has performed well) are moving.  Though the court scenes leave much to be desired, the film manages to garner adequate interest of the viewer.  Aghathiyaa ( Jiiva) is an art director in films who runs into bad luck when a shoot he invested in is cancelled and he has to somehow recover the money he invested on the set.  His assistant Veena (Raashi Khanna) comes up with an idea of converting the old house into a 'scary house' which will attract vistors for a fee, helping them to recover the funds. The horror house, in Pondichery, is a huge success until one day strange things start happening, which lead them to discover that the house is really haunted by a cruel Frenchman Edwin Duplex and his daughter's ghosts, along with that of his accountant (Radha Ravi). As Aghathiya gets embroiled into clues that emerge, he discovers a story of betrayal, revenge and greed involving Edwin and a Siddhar medicine practitioner ( Arjun Sarja), his love for Edwin's sister and how Edwin used the Siddhar medicine secrets for his ambitions. Following the awe-inspiring cinematic experience of ‘Eeram’, both director Arivazhagan and actor Aadhi are back to offer yet another astounding theatrical gift to the audience with their new-fangled supernatural thriller titled ‘Sabdham’. Given that this marks the second collaboration between the two after a span of 15 years since their successful film 'Eeram,' the anticipation surrounding this project has significantly increased. The film stars Lakshmi Menon as the heroine, with Simran, Laila, M.S. Bhaskar, Rajeev Menon, Reddy Kingsley and others playing important roles.
