The most awaited Silambarasan starrer, Gautham Vasudev Menon's directorial, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu ( VTK), produced by Vels Film International, hit the screens on September 15th. The story is by writer Jeymohan. Muthu ( Silambarasan) though a BSc graduate awaiting a job letter, labours in a thorny farmland, in harsh conditions, in a small village in TN. One day, he is badly injured when the area he works in catches fire. The owner threatens him and Muthu's defiant  streak scares his mother, who fears he may end up killing someone as predicted by an astrologer. The only son of a poverty stricken and desperate mother (Radhika Sarathkumar), Muthu is then sent off to Mumbai to work in a parotta kadai, in the care of an uncle. But there too, ill luck chases him,  and the uncle commits suicide the night before their departure. He not only lost weight and got fitter, but also got going on two films, Eeswaran with Suseinthiran and now Venkat Prabhu's  Maanaadu. It is well known that Simbu is a car lover. Now, seeing all the hardwork her son has been putting in these last few months, his mother had decided to give him a gift. The actor had received a brand new Mini Cooper car from his mom. The delighted actor is reportedly whizzing around town in the  latest addition to his car collection!

Now, the actor has finished the dubbing of Eeswaran and is already on to the shoot of his next film, the much awaited Maanadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The actor is full on energy to complete the shoot of this political thriller.  By Rinku Gupta Tollywood beauty Nidhhi Agerwal is going places already in Kollywood even before the release of her Tamil debut film Bhoomi opposite Jayam Ravi. At the launch of Production 14   Today, Nidhi tweeted about her joy at joining the shoot of her next film. She is now cast opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin in his next project. The film is directed by Magizh Tirumeni and produced by Red Giant Films. Tentatively the film is titled Production No. 14. Nidhhi wrote, "Super Excited to join the Biggie with @Udhaystalin #MagizhThirumeni 🦋@RedGiantMovies_ #ProductionNo14 @ArrolCorelli @dhillrajk #NBSrikanth #Ramalingam @madhankarky @teamaimpr " The music is by Arrol Corelli. The pre- production has been on and the shoot will now begin in November. She is already part of Silambarasan's Eeswaran, which has Simbu in a new lean, toned avatar after a huge weight loss.

After Zero and Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum ,  the production house is busy with two other  ventures,  they are Oh Mana Pennae starring Harish Kalyan and another movie that brings together Director Sasi and Harish Kalyan. They have now rolled out another mega movie,  Starring actor Simbu in Suseenthiran's direction.   It is a commercial entertainer with action, emotion,  love, sentiment and comedy. Nidhi Agerwal from Tollywood has been cast opposite STR. She is also part of Jayam Ravi's Bhoomi. Simbu has lost weight and worked on his physique for this movie. He is touted to be playing an interesting lead role in the venture. . Bharathiraja is also a part of the project with several other artists. The film,  directed by Venkat Prabhu features Simbu with Kalyani Priyadashan opposite him.  Bharathi Raja, Karunkaran, SA Chandrasekar and Premgi Amaren are part of the cast. The DOP is Richard M Nathanwhile Rajeevan handles art direction. Praveen KL is the editor Kamatchi revealed in a series of well designed posters on Twitter. Stunt Silva will handle the action while  Vasuki Bhaskar will handle the costumes department. Yuvan Shankar Raja is handling the music and the buzz around the film just got bigger with an A team of technicians joining the list. This is Kalyani's next Tamil film post Hero. Simbu is reportedly on a weight loss spree. His next release is Maha.
