 The Potential Studio's Vikram Prabhu starrer Taanakkaran co-starring Anjali Nair, Madhusudhan, Lal, MS Bhasker and others, dropped on Disney Hotstar on April 8th. The film revolves around Arivu ( Vikram Prabhu) who fulfils his father's dream of being a cop and lands up at the police training school (PRS). There he finds that corruption and discrimination is rampant, with senior cops all part of the system.  Many others like him find their hopes getting quashed especially due to a tyrannical and vengeful trainer Eshwaramurthy, ( Lal) who represents the system which refuses to change. When trainees die due to the harsh training aimed to break them,  Arivu rises to the occasion in a bid to break this system. Does he succeed? Disney+ Hotstar is all set to offer yet another content-driven entertainment for Tamil movie buffs titled “Taanakkaran”, directed by Tamizh which will premiere on April 8, 2022.  The trailer, unveiled on March 31, 2022, across the social media platforms of Disney+ Hotstar, has found a commendable reach. Actor Vikram Prabhu has been steady with his choice of movies  for universal audiences; he continues to impress us with his line-up as well. The actor had proved his proficiency with a rustic role in Pulikuthi Pandi, directed by filmmaker Muthaiah. This time, the filmmaker pens the story and dialogues for Vikram Prabhu’s upcoming movie Tiger, which is directed by Karthi.  Vikram Prabhu's Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku film team met the press and media yesterday. Vani Bhojan, the heroine was also present.  Speaking  on the occasion, Hero Vikram Prabhu said, " The film is a grand action entertainer. It has one song which is a foot tapping rap number. I thank my entire team for the wonderful experience. " Sagar had composed the music. Karthik Chowdary debuts as director. While thanking the DOP Sridhar for his amazing shots, Vani Bhojan revealed that Vivek Prasanna will be seen in a vital role in the film. Dharshan comes from a family of actors, with also  his dad, uncle Prabhu and cousin Vikram Prabhu, all consummate actors.  He has been fond of performing arts since childhood and has been inspired by many great artistes including his grandfather SivajiGanesan.   After doing theatre, he is now stepping into the space of  the silver screen. The cast and crew were present which included Rajiv Menon, director Dhana, costumer Eka Lakhani, actors Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rajesh, Balaji Shaktivel, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Radhika, Sarathkumar, Amitash Pradhan, Madonna Sebastien and music director Sid Sriram who now debuts as a composer. Sid sang a few of the tracks live along with Antony Dasan, in a well conducted event, with brief interactions with the actors on stage, before the audio was launched with the entire team on stage. The function did away with long drawn out speeches and there were no special guests on the dais, as is the norm in Kollywood. Sarathkumar plays Radhika's screen husband while Aishwarya plays Vikram Prabhu's sister. Also spotted at the event were Dushyanth, Ujjaini Vikram, Poornima Bhagyaraj and Charu Haasan

The title font has released and created quite a buzz on social media. Dhana is directing the movie while renowned singer Sid Sriram makes his debut as a music director through this film. Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rajesh, Madonna Sebastian, Sarath Kumar, Radhika SarathKumar, Amithash Pradhan and Shanthanu are in the cast. 'Vaanam Kottattum' talks about the significance of  every relationship in our families. The film  has been shot in various places such as Chennai, Thirunelveli, Courtallam and other interior regions of Tamil Nadu. The film is slated for a January 2020 release.
