  ‘Appane Muruga’ (Addressing Lord Murugan as a Fatherly Deity) is something common among people when they are distressed in lives. Now a bunch of promising team have titled the film with the same ‘Appane Muruga’.  The film is produced by R. Sathish Thangam, R.G. Sekar and Sasikumar of True Team Entertainment, and is directed by debut filmmaker Guru Ramasamy. He had earlier worked as co-director to Late director Rasu Madhuravan.  Kaali Venkat plays the content-driven protagonist n this film, and the others in the cast includes Saravanan, M.S. Bhaskar, Munishkanth, Madhumitha, Janaki, Super Good Subramani, Mohana Sundaram, Pudhuvai Boopalan of Taanakaaran fame, and many others in the prominent characters.
