 by Rinku Gupta Noted and well- loved comedian and philanthophist, actor Vivekh , passed away in the wee hours of today at 4 35 am. He was admitted at SIMS Hospital in Chennai yesterday in an unconscious state after a cardiac arrest. Later he underwent an angiogram and angioplasty for a blockage in his heart.He was in ICU and still critical.  Today,  the shocking news of his sudden, tragic demise has shocked fans and the industry members. Condolences have been pouring in on social media.  The Padma Shri awardee regaled audiences for several decades with his comedy which had an underlying social message.  He was known for propogating tree planting drives and was an ardent admirer of Abdul Kalam. Two schedules of the hit franchise film,  have been completed.  Now along with the cast and crew, he has landed in Pollachi to complete the final leg of the shoot.  The shooting of the third schedule has begun and the entire team is touted to be present for this part. The director is all set to make up for any lost time during lockdown and has planned everything to the last detail. There he meets another NRI  (Charlie)  who becomes  his good friend. The ex cop soon comes across a series of kidnappings in the area he lives in. The cop in him kicks in and he is determined  to solve these cases with the support of his friend. His son deters him from doing so but when he himself is kidnapped, Rudhran goes full steam ahead to get back his son and solve the crimes which he feels are  linked. Who is behind it all? Vivek and Devayani star in a kids oriented movie, Ezhumin, releasing along with Sandakozhi2 and Vada Chennai, this coming Friday. The film stars six children and deals with the importance of several issues relating to the safety of kids and women. The camerawork is by Gopi Jagadeeswaran while VP Viji, the producer , has also directed the film. Said Gopi at the press meet, “Vivek sir is a favourite of children so the message he gives in the film will surely be driven home easily, for the benefit of society.” Several martial   arts are shown in the film like Silambam, Karate, Kung Fu, Gymnastics and so on.   Children who were proficient in these arts were specialy chosen out of hundreds who came to the auditions. Close on the heels of the recent release of V Creations' Indrajith, directed by Kalaipuli S Thanu's son Kalaa Prabhu, comes the launch of the comic book on the film which stars Gautham Karthik, Sudhanshu Pandey and others. The comic book was launched on Monday 27th November, by actor and comedian Vivek amidst a bunch of eager children, who recieved the first copies from Vivek. The director was present on the occasion along with members of the crew. On the occasion, Vivek highlighted how important it was not to pressure children with comparisons to others and to let them grow to follow their own dreams, based on their aptitudes.
