 By Rinku Gupta The Rowdy Pictures' Milind Rau directorial Netrikann starrìng Nayanthara, Ajmal Amir, Manikandan and Saran dropped today on Disney Hotstar. The psycho thriller is based on the Korean film Blind. Durga ( Nayanthara), loses her job as a CBI officer and her brother Adithya as well as her eyesight all in one ill -fated night due to a car accident. But she learns Braille, gets a trained dog and learns the ropes of managing her new situation, even as she waits for an eye donor to regain her vision. A chance encounter with a psycho killer James Dinas (Ajmal), turns her life upside. Now she has only one mission. Despite her disability, she vows to her bring the villain to justice. In this she is aided by a cop ( Manikandan) and a young boy ( Saran Shakthi ). How she does so and and at what cost,  forms the story.  Its a Lady Superstar show all the way and Nayanthara just carries the film on her shoulders, with her screen presence and superb performance as a spirit...

by Rinku Gupta Lady Superstar's  next film aka Nayanthara65  has got a power packed title. The film has been named  Netrikann and the shooting has started with a pooja. Netrikann was the title of K Balachander's 1981 debut production of his Kavithalaya Films banner with Rajinikanth in the lead in a dual role. The film was directed by SP Muthuraman. The poster of Netrikann released on social media has the title written in braille, an interesting pointer to the content and a link to the title perhaps. The Producer is none other than Nayan's beau  VigneshShivN who will be producing under the Rowdy Pictures banner. Interestingly its not Vignesh but Mani Ratnam's former assistant director  Milind Rau ( who directed David earlier) who will direct Nayan. The music is by G Girishh while the editor is Kishor. Costumes are by Dinesh.
