 The Vemal starrer Kulasami hit screens on May 5th. The direction is by  "Kutty Puli" Sharavana Shakthi with dialogues by Vijay Sethupathy. Vemal plays an auto driver who has lost his loving sister, who had to a big college, to fulfil her dream of  studying medicine, being the only topper from her village. But once there, she succumbs to the evil designs of a gang who with the help of college staff, lure innocent students with friendly loans and later exploit them. Tanya Hope plays a medical student in the same college, who now gets caught in their web when she sets out to expose this group. With her life in danger, can the hero save her before its too late? The film seems to have a message, exposing this, kind of exploitation which could be an eye opener to parents. There is all out action, and Vemal  shines all through. Tanya Hope does justice to her role but the chemistry between the leads seems missing. The sister sentiment scenes may appeal to family audiences. The songs
