By Rinku Gupta  Directors are doing full fledged characters and  acting in many films of late, like K S Ravikumar in Naan Sirithal and Gautham Menon in Vishnu Vishal' s FIR  and Trance ( Malayalam) to name a few. Earlier Ameer had acted in the lead in Yogi. M Sasikumar is already an established director - hero. Now young director Pradeep makes his debut as an actor in the Sibiraj starrer Kabadadaari in a special appearance. According to producer G Dhananjayan  he was found to be apt and menacing enough for the role and hence was cast.  The film is racing towards the  finishing line for a May 2020 release.

By Rinku Gupta A breezy comedy starring Hip Hop Adhi and Iswarya Menon, produced by Sundar C , Naan Sirithal is directed by Raana. Gandhi ( Adhi) has a strange disorder. He starts laughing when faced by emotional stress or happiness.  His father ( Badava Gopi) is at his wits end, trying to help him. In the midst of his chaotic life thanks to this condition, Gandhi lands up in serious trouble with a bunch of dons ( KS Ravikumar and Ravi Mariya, well cast) baying forvhis blood, due to mistaken identities. Adding to his problems is his lady love's  ( Iswarya Menon ) dad who refuses to marry his daughter to him. Does Gandhi manage to save his own life from the dons  and get the girl too? The film has an interesting premise and Adhi pulls it off well, with just the right amount of innocence, pathos and laughter. Iswarya Menon looks glam and acts well. The film is Sundar C's third film with hero Hip Hop Thamizha Adhi. " He is like my younger brother. This is my third outing with him. This film will have a message and will also be a full time family entertainer, " said Sundar C. The event was attended by Khushbu, producer Shaktivelan, Badava Gopi, Sujatha, Iruma Sani Vijay and Sathya, K S Ravikumar, VJ Ashiq, Ravi Mariya and Sha Ra amongst others.
