However, the  recent announcement today of 50% occupancy in theatres from 10th April due to the Covid resurgence, would have dampened spirits of the team. But producer Kalaipuli S Thanu is hopeful and upbeat about the reception to the film by fans.  He tweeted today, "As promised #Karnan will arrive to theatres tomorrow. As per the need guidelines of our Govt #Karnan will be screened with 50% capacity in theatres along with proper safety measures. I kindly request everyone to provide your support for #Karnan @dhanushkraja @mari_selvaraj". The full album dropped today. By Rinku Gupta  Producer S N Rajarajan of K Productions joins hands with hero GV Prakash Kumar for his upcoming film in which the latter  plays a student. Director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi who earlier worked as an assitant director to Vetri Maran makes his debut with this film. Varsha Bollamma  who has done Seema Thurai, 96 and the upcoming Vijay  movie Bigil now pairs up with GV Prakash. Vaagai Chandrasekar, and debutant actor Guna play important roles in the film.  GV Prakash scores the music,Vishnu Rangasamy handles the camera while Ilayaraja handles the editing portions.  The  story revolves around how a student  faces the difficulties that appear outside the college. Close on the heels of the recent release of V Creations' Indrajith, directed by Kalaipuli S Thanu's son Kalaa Prabhu, comes the launch of the comic book on the film which stars Gautham Karthik, Sudhanshu Pandey and others. The comic book was launched on Monday 27th November, by actor and comedian Vivek amidst a bunch of eager children, who recieved the first copies from Vivek. The director was present on the occasion along with members of the crew. On the occasion, Vivek highlighted how important it was not to pressure children with comparisons to others and to let them grow to follow their own dreams, based on their aptitudes. The much awaited Shankar's magnum opus, the Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 is soon to have a grand international audio launch  at the Burj Park in Dubai on 27th October. Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar plays the main villain while B Town actor Sudhanshu Pandey who debuted in Kollywood with Billa 2, plays another bad guy. Today, Sudhanshu, the tall and handsome baddie, is in Chennai yet again, to complete a patchwork portion of the film, "I have some shooting left, as part of the patchwork.
