 By Rinku Gupta After the stupendous opening Sulthan got post its theatrical release last week, Dream Warriors organised a Thank You and Success Meet today in Chennai. The cast and crew including several artistes like Ponvannan, Mayilsamy and Arjai Prince spoke at the event apart from the hero, Karthi and producer SR Prabhu. The film is directed by Bakkiaraj Kannan and marks Rashmika's Tamil debut. Speaking about her,  Karthi revealed that her large fan base was one of the reasons for drwaing in crowds and the success.  The film had released in Tamil and Telugu. Though the cast and crew felt bad about some harshly worded reviews, the final success of the film made up for it. Karthi thanked the media who supported the film and said that the stupendous success which brought much needed  cheer to theatres and their staff, made him very happy. She has worked with many leading actors across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bollywood.  Amala, who was not acting  in movies after her marriage to Nagarjuna, will be now return to the big screen after 28 years, playing a vital role in the 18th production of Dream Warriors Pictures in Tamil and Telugu. Ritu Verma is paired opposite Sarwanand in the film. Nasser, Satish, Ramesh Tilak and others are part of the film directed by Sri Karthik.  Amala Akkineni tweeted , "An actor is blessed with many lives. Usually when I finish one movie and move on to the next, everyone is normal with no idea what I have done in the last 2 weeks. But, I remember that I lived in another wonderful life and came back. This is a big luck."

The film, ( inspired by the Die Hard series), centres around events that happen in one night. Without spoilers, suffice it to say that there is a menacing drug mafia which is on the hot trail of a 900 crore worth  drug consignment seized by the police, which is lodged secretly at thier headquarters. The mafia head Anbudoss ( Arjun Das, a talented find ) gets to know about this and launches an attack to get back the loot and also wreak vengeance on the 5 officers responsible. Caught up in the midst of the mayhem that follows, is Dilli ( Karthi), a criminal just out of jail on probation after 10 years, en route to see his daughter for the first time. Bejoy (Narain) is the special task force cop who is desperate to protect the drugs from the mafia and uses the reluctant Dilli for the purpose...

By Rinku Gupta Director of Maanagaram , Lokesh Kangaraj is excited about the release of his second film today, the Karthi starrer Kaithi ( Khaidi in Telugu). On the eve of this Dream Warrior Films'  release , Lokesh addressed the press on the occasion of his big Diwali release  and fielded questions. By a strange co-incidence his next film hero Thalapathy Vijay's  film Bigil,  is also releasing  this Diwali. " I wish success for both Kaithi and Bigil, both should do well,  said the director. Speaking about the film he said, " The story demands that it be shot only at night. The whole film is riding on Karthi's shoulders. There will be action, emotions, sentiment and mass elements as well." The film stars Baby Monica and Narain who had earlier described it as his second innings in Kollywood. There are no heroines in the film .

The film with Karthi and ( Vijay Deverakonda's    Dear Comrade fame)   Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, is called Sulthan. The film is being shot in Chennai, Dindigul and its surrounding areas. A rumour spread that the film is based on Tipu Sultan and his life.  So, as the film was nearing completion, protestors landed up on location at Malaikottai, near Dindugal and tried to  disrupt the shoot on 24 September. As a result, the producers have strongly refuted such theories in a detailed  statement stressing that  the movie is tilted Suthan but has nothing to do with the life of Tipu Sultan. The production house felt deeply concerned about and condemned the current trend of  people taking offence on several issues, often for personal gains, and  thereby curbing  the freedom of filmmakers.

by Rinku Gupta Dream Warrior pictures is gearing up for director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Karthi's  Kaithi release for Diwali. But in the meantime, SR Prabhu took to Twitter today to announce his next project. The film is a bi-lingual in Tamil and Telugu starring Sharwanand from Tollywood opposite Pellichoopelu girl Ritu Verma ( who is awaiting the release of her earlier Tamil projects). Filmmaker, actor and choreographer Shreekanth Karthick is also part of thr project. The film is tentatively called Production 18. More details are awaited.

The film is directed by ( the now Thalapathy 64) director   Lokesh Kanagaraj  of 'Maanagaram' fame.  The makers, SR Prabhu's  Dream Warrior Pictures, officially announced on social media  that their film will hit theatres this  Diwali. With Logesh already having proved himself with Maanagaram, and now the recent excitement around his bagging Vijay's Thalapathy 64 project, Kaithi is bound to create a huge buzz and raise expectations.
