 Aalan, is a coming of age film of self-discovery, which centres around a young man Thyagu (Vetri Sudley)who is very much disturbed due to events in his early life  As a youth, he flees to Kashi and becomes a monk, in an effort to find peace. But when his nightmares increase, he decides to go back to Chennai and search for his relative who he had left behind.  In this journey to finding himself and his love for writing, he meets two beautiful souls, Janani Thomas and Thamarai (Mathura, Anu Sitara) who help him forward in his path of self -discovery. What, happens to our hero during this journey? Does he get over his trauma and find peace? The effort of debut director Siva R to showcase the struggle of a man to find himself is laudable.
