450 CG artists for Jai's Breaking News !

By Rinku Gupta Actor Jai’s next is  director Andrew Pandian’s ‘Breaking News’ produced by Thirukadal Udhayam. The shoot has been wrapped up and post-production is on in full swing. Major portions of this film have lots of Computer-generated Graphic works, which have been processed with 450 CG artists. Bhanu Sree is playing the female lead rand Dev Gill (Magadheera, Vijay’s Sura fame) alongside Rahul Dev (Vedalam) are appearing as the baddies. The cinematography is  handled by Johnny Lal and editing by Anthony.

Prabhu Deva weds physiotherapist ?

 by Rinku Gupta A few days ago several media reports emerged about director-actor- choreographer Prabhu Deva's  alleged wedding. The articles suggested he had married his niece ( a regional tradition prevalent in some sections of society). Now, however, the Kollywood   grapevine suggests that he has indeed gotten married, but not to his niece.  A few months ago,  he allegedly married  a physiotherapist from Bihar at his Mumbai residence. The wedding was low key due to the covid situation.  The name of the lady is not known,  but according to sources, the duo met when he was undergoing treatment. The duo allegedly got married after the blessings of parents. Social media too is abuzz with the news, which is as yet unconfirmed from Prabhu Deva himself. The couple are touted to be in Chennai now,  at Prabhu Deva's Chennai residence. Apparently she is now learning Tamil. Qube's 100% VPF Waiver for Hindi, Non South Markets in December !

 by Rinku Gupta  Leading Digital Service Provider ( DSP) Qube Cinemas, is going all out to help revive the industry reeling under the aftermath of the lockdown. In a major move to help producers plan releases for the festive season ahead, Qube has extended a 100% waiver of Virtual Print Fee (VPF) for new movie releases in December, to support Producers and Exhibitors in the Hindi and Non- South markets. For January, there will be a 60% waiver. It maybe recalled that  In Kollywood, after a stalemate over the waiver issue between the industry and the DSP , finally Qube had recently signed an agreement with the Tamil Film Active Producers  Association (TFAPA)   led by Bharathi Raja. This offered  a substantial reduction in VPF in order to help the Kollywood industry and get footfalls back into the theatres.  However, unlike the offer to Hindi and Non- regional markets, for some reason, the exact details of the waivers for Kollywood have not been disclosed.
