The Gautham Vasudev Menon directed film, had seen unprecedented delays over a period of time due to financial and other issues and fans seemed dejected about the delay in release. The film release date shifted few times from September to November 15 but now a new date has been finalized it would seem.   Vels Film International has announced the release of the film on November 29th. Present on the occasion was the director Pradeep, Jayam Ravi , Ishari Ganesh, KS Ravikumar and Shaktivel amongst others. Vels International Films has produced the Jayam Ravi - Kajal Agarwal starrer with Samyukta Hegde from Karnataka making her debut in Tamil. The story is about a teenage boy ( Jayam Ravi ) who goes into a coma for 16 years due to an accident. He wakes up after 16 years, in 2016, and finds the world has changed drastically. This gives rise to funny situations, since he is now having to get used to the Internet era, but through the mind of a 16 year old. His best friend ( Yogi Babu) stands by him all through like a rock. In the midst of all this, the director throws in bad guys, an ancient idol, a heist and unsrupulous politicians, all with a ' local' touch, deviating from the main coma and its interesting aftermath story, adding action and romance and some bits of preaching to the audience. The film is produced by Ishari Ganesh's Vels Film International and is being released by Sakthi Film Factory. The director revealed how Ravi had managed to lose 20 kgs in a short span for one of the looks of a school boy in the film. The movie is based on 90's kids and the trailer reveals how a man comes out of a coma after 16 years.
