The story in brief revolves around Cheran's sister  ( Kavya Suresh ) who falls in love and wants to marry an RJ ( Umapathi Ramaiah). His sister ( Sukanya) and uncle  (MS Bhaskar) agree to the wedding. But problems arise when the grooms richer family wants to have a grand wedding while the brides family believes splurging  is a waste. Things reach an impasse and the wedding is called off. What happens after that is the story. Cheran has done his best to give the film a modern and contemporary loom. From FB, whats app and other apps being used, to the groom being a happening RJ in a modern home, he has stayed relevant to the modern way of life. by Rinku Gupta Masala Pix Boomerang directed by R Kannan is releasing on March 8th. The film stars Atharvaa,  RJ Balaji, Megha Akash and Indhuja. ' The film is about the water and rivers issue. If we dont think about our future generations it will be bad for all,' said director R Kannan. Speaking  at the event RJ Balaji said ' This is a socially conscious film. In fact I also started work on my film LKG on the sets of Boomerang only,  thanks to the encouragement of Atharvaa. He has done 2 roles in the film.' Arjun Reddy music director Radhan is the music director. Said he, ' My mother is my inspiration. When nobody believed  in me my mother was the only one who did.  After Arjun Reddy it was director Kannan who called me up and met me to congratulate me and he also signed me up for Boomerang. Speaking at the press meet the director Parthiban Desingu said ,'We trained many actors in the game for 3 months. It was very tough especially because of the heat. Some even fainted. Hero Hip Hop Adhi was injured along with many others. One even had a sun stroke. Everyday we had to have a water  lorry on the turf grounds to beat the heat. Many actors were injured but never even let me know about it.  All these injuries led to delays in shooting. But producer Sunder C gave us all the time and budget and never  pressured us.'
