The Arun Vijay starrer Sinam, directed by GNR Kumaravelan is the Friday  release in theatres this week on Sep 16th. Arun Vijay plays a very upright, dutiful cop who leaves no stones unturned to bring criminals to justice, making many enemies in the bargain.  He has a loving and understanding wife, ( Palak Lalwani) and a child. However, his loving family  life is torn apart when a gruesome crime takes place and his wife is killed.  With barely any clues and enemies within the force who are maligning his wife, Arun Vijay is determined to fight against all odds and  uncover the truth. Director Anandamurthy is all smiles as he makes the announcement,  "We are excited to inform Tamil film fans that “Sinam” won the “Best Director Jury Award” for a Short film at the Toronto Tamil ( International ) Film Festival! What could be more exciting than a “Jury Award” to be celebrated! He thanked the team of Sinam and the Toronto Tamil International Film Festival  organisers for the Jury Award. The lead of the film is played by Sai Dhanshika & Bidita Bag. The films producer is Nesan Thirunesan of London based “Nesan Creations”. " The music is by G.V. Prakash, vinematography by Saravanan Natarajan, editing by Deepak Bhojraj, colorist is Balaji Gopal, costumes are  by Simran Alexander, make up by Eswar Log. Congrats team!

Arun Vijay who was part of Mani's  Chekka Chivantha Vaanam said,  “This is more than I asked for and a huge birthday bonanza, beyond imagination! By Rinku Gupta The hunk of K-Town, Arun Vijay has finally got a title for his next film, currently under production.  An action-thriller cop movie , it is titled ‘Sinam’. Helmed by National award winning filmmaker GNR Kumaravelan, the film  features Arun Vijay in a cop avatar for the second time after big hit ‘Kuttram 23’. However, the actor clarifies that the premise of ‘Sinam’ is completely different from ‘Kuttram 23’ . Seaking about the significance of the  title 'Sinam’ with the film’ theme, Arun Vijay says, “Be it holy scriptures or any management lessons, anger is always labeled a negative. In fact, we often come across ‘Anger Management’ classes as well. But, what ‘Sinam’ conveys is that sometimes, ‘Anger’ is good and it can even bring justice for the needy.
