Film Review : Padavettu

 Director Liju Krishna's Nivin Pauly, Aditi Balan starrer Padavettu ( Malayalam) released in Tamil in theatres on Oct 28th. The protagonist Ravi ( Nivin Pauly) lives in Maloor village  with his aunt Pushpa. He was once an athlete but after an injury, has made his a sour and brooding, jobless person. He harbours feelings for Shyma (Aditi Balan) a recent divorcee. Things rapidly change in the village with the entry of Kuyyali ( Shammi Thilakan in a brilliant act) and his political party, who repair Pushpa's dilapidated home as a freebie and from then on,  slowly establish a political foothold into the lives of the farmers and start manipulating them on a large scale.  Things begin to get out of hand and the carefree Ravi is soon forced to rekindle his fighting spirit and take on the greedy politician affecting his life and his people,  and stop him in his tracks. Film Review : Kalangalil Aval Vasantham

 Kalangalil Aval Vasantham starring Anjali Nair, Kaushik Ram and Heroshini hit theatres on October 28th. The film is directed by Raghav Mirdath. Shyam ( Kaushik Ram) is a carefree youth from the  upper middle class, who harbors romantic ideas based on films. An entrepreneur,  Radhe ( Anjali Nair) takes a fancy to him and his candidness and proposes marriage to him.  Romeo Shyam is stunned but accepts despite just having proposed love to another girl Anuradha (Heroshini).  Radhe has a unique take on romance to keep the sparks flying and all seems to be going well,  when she makes a discovery about Shyam, who she feels is too filmi in his notion of romance and doesnt really love her uniquely enough. A clash of egos and ideologies ensues. Does the marriage survive? What does it mean to really ne in love with someone? Samantha pens heartfelt note, reveals diagnosed with auto-immune disease, Myositis

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Santhosh Prathap starring “Kondraal Paavam” shoot started with a Pooja ceremony. The movie launch took place on Friday morning at Prasad Lab in Chennai. The occasion was graced by eminent personalities from the Tamil film industry.  The shooting is scheduled to commence on November 1st at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The movie is a classic crime thriller set in the year 1981. It is based on the famous Kannada play written by Shri. Mohan Habbu, which was later made into a Kannada movie followed by a Telugu remake was bankrolled by Legendary producer Allu Arvind for Aha Original, both the versions were directed by Dayal Padmanabhan, who is wielding the megaphone for the Tamil version as well.
