Film Review : Kuzhali

 Kuzhali, which released on Sep 23rd is a film directed by Chera Kalaiyarasan with Viccky aka Kaaka Muttai Vignesh and Aara in the lead.  The love  story is set in a small village where kids of different status and backgrounds study together. There, a boy and  a girl from two different communities develop affection for each other. Later, when her marriage is fixed with another boy, the young girl decides to run away. What happens to the relationship? Does their love survive the pressures of society? Kaaka Muttai Vignesh has done his part well while Aara portrays the nativity role and the emotions realistically.  Many  supporting  actors are from the village areas itself and the realistic performances add value to the film.  The cinematography  by Shabbir  is handled well while Udhaykumar' music is alluring.  The film touches upon social issues like casteism, and the importance of education,  asking hard hitting questions which are bound to impact the audiences. 

STAR VIJAY to launch a youth entertainment channel ‘VIJAY TAKKAR’

Star Vijay is launching a youth entertainment channel in Tamil. Followed by the exciting teaser, the main promo was launched today on Star Vijay and its social handles.  ‘Vijay TAKKAR’ will have content primarily targeting Tamil youth. The tagline for the new youth channel is aptly positioned  Vijay TAKKAR - ‘Ini Ithuthaan Trend Setter’ Vijay TAKKAR the channel will have a brand personality that will reflect today’s youth.  It will be a channel that acts as a trendsetter in the domain of entertainment of multiple versatilities. Hence the tagline ‘Vijay Takkar - ini idhudaan trend setter’ promptly matches it all.   Vijay TAKKAR has the genre preferences for a mix of non-fiction shows movies & music that are blended.  And in the space of Non-fiction, the channel will feature shows that would resonate with the youth and will have daily back-to-back non-fiction shows. சென்னையிலுள்ள எம் ஓ பி வைஷ்ணவ மகளிர் கல்லூரில் நடைபெற்ற ‘விஷ் 22’ (Vish 22) எனும் கல்லூரி கலை விழாவில் தமிழ் திரையுலகின் நம்பிக்கை நட்சத்திரமான இளம் நடிகர் துருவ் விக்ரம்  சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டார்.  சென்னை மாநகரிலுள்ள மகளிர் கல்லூரிகளில் ஆண்டுதோறும் பல்வேறு பெயரில் கலைவிழாக்கள் நடைபெறுவது இயல்பு. இவ்விழாக்களில் பிரபலங்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு, மாணவிகளை உற்சாகப்படுத்துவதும் இயல்பு. மாணவிகளின் வேண்டுகோளுக்கிணங்க எம் ஓ பி வைஷ்ணவ கல்லூரியில் நடைபெற்ற ‘விஷ் 22’ என்ற கலைவிழாவில் இளம் நடிகர் துருவ் விக்ரம் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக கலந்து கொண்டார். இவ்விழாவில் மாணவிகளின் குறும்புத்தனமான கேள்விகளுக்கு துருவ் விக்ரம் சிரித்துக்கொண்டே பதிலளித்தார். அத்துடன்  அவர் எழுதி பாடிய 'மனசே..' என்ற சுயாதீன இசை ஆல்பப் பாடலையும் பாடினார். பிறகு நடனமாடி, விழாவை கொண்டாட்டமாக மாற்றினார். நிறைவாக மாணவிகளுடன் தன்னைப்பற்றியும், தன்னுடைய தந்தையான சீயான் விக்ரம் பற்றியும் பல நினைவுகளையும் பகிர்ந்துக்கொண்டார்.

Film Review: Drama

Drama, a uniquely made Single Shot feature film directed by Aju Kizhumala released in 23rd September in theatres. The events take place inside a small town police station, where a cop's girlfriend  (Kavya Bellu) is determined to celebrate her birthday by cutting a cake there,  in the presence of all the cops, despite the protests of her boyfriend. A young eloping couple also arrive, seeking protection at around the same time.  But,  in a sudden turn of events, a senior cop ( Charlie) is found murdered during a black out during the cake cutting. Thereafter, there is panic and pandemonium all around. A Senior official (Kishore), arrives to find out the truth. Who is the culprit and how does he find him or her? The actors have played their parts well, even though there are a few scenes of over- acting  and comedy that doesnt work,  as in the scenes with the electrician and the guy in the lock-up. It is never explained why the man in jail is not kept

Dhanush’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual Sir/Vaathi set to hit theatres on December 2

Leading producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments is joining forces with Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas for a bilingual film Sir (Telugu)/Vaathi (Tamil), headlined by national-award winning actor Dhanush. Srikara Studios is presenting the film. Venky Atluri is the writer and director of the prestigious project. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead. The makers of Sir/Vaathi announced the film’s release date earlier today. The film will release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil across the globe on December 2. Vinay Rai in 'Murder Live' , a crime thriller next

The first look of new crime thriller titled 'Murder Live' starring actor Vinay Rai in lead role is now out  'Murder Live' is an upcoming film directed by Murugesh, in which actor Vinay Rai plays the protagonist and is paired with Kannada actress Sharmila Mandre. 'Murder Live', also sees Hollywood actress Naomi Willow in a pivotal role. Prashant D. Hitesh Manjunath has composed the music for this movie, which has cinematography by Misale. Madan is handling the editing work, while the UK-based company D Creative has done the graphics. Murder Live is a first-of-its-kind psycho crime thriller genre and has been produced by Dot Com Entertainment Limited at a huge cost.
