  Lyca Productions, one of Tamil cinema's biggest production houses,  today released the first look of actor Raghava Lawrence as Vettaiyan in director P Vasu's eagerly awaited horror-comedy 'Chandramukhi 2'.  By Rinku Gupta The shooting of the  Sivakarthikeyan starrer Don, commenced this morning (February 11, 2021) at Coimbatore. The ritual ceremony  was graced by the entire cast and crew. The film is an out and out comedy entertainer set against a college backdrop.  Actress Priyanka Arul Mohan, who is playing the female lead role, is teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan for the second time after ‘Doctor’. SJ Suryah, Soori, Samuthirakani, Vijay TV fame Sivangi, R. Vijay, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, Kaali Venkat and other familiar actors are a part of this film.  Don is produced by Chairman of Lyca Groups, Mr Subaskaran Allirajah for Lyca Productions in association with Sivakarthikeyan Productions Debutant Cibi Chakaravarthi is directing this film and Anirudh is composing the music.  .

The announcement was made today, on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In a press release, Lyca said, "As mark of it's love and respect for the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday, Lyca Productions chairman, Subaskaran, is privileged to present the Tamil version of the special feature film Karmayogi , along with legendary film maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film which has been made depicting the formative years and teenage life of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is produced by Mahaveer Jain and is directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy, with Music by Shan Hada. The music of the film will be released by Divo. This special film will be releasing soon."

by Rinku Gupta Lyca Productions has given thier clarification on the issue of sub- titling dues left unpaid raised on Twitter by Ms Rekhs for the film 2.0 as follows : Lyca Productions allots a budget of Rs 50,000 for subtitling of all the films we produce, irrespective of the scale and budget. This is because, we have in-house facilities to complete the technical process to delivery. Ms Rekhs demanded 2 lakhs for subtitling the film 2.0, which was not agreeable to us. Out of her own free will, she completed the work and said we could discuss the compensation later. She had reached out subsequently, but the rate she expected was not acceptable by us. Sometime back she reached out to the media to falsely accuse us. We reached out To Rekhs around 10 days back and offered to pay her an amount of Rs 1 Lakh which was not the agreed budget by us. However we felt since there has been a time lapse and out of goodwill this was fair. She was not ready to settle to this and demanded 2 lakhs,...

KV Anand tweeted that the title of thier 3rd collaboration aka Suriya 37 would be Kaappaan. The first look poster of this Lyca Productions film, shows Suriya in a suave avatar, wielding a gun, looking very much like someone in the armed services. According to the grapevine he is believed to play a body guard to Mohanlal who is said to be donning the role of the Prime Minister. Mohanlal was last seen in Tamil in the Vijay starrer Jilla. KV Anand, in a social media innovative poll to chose a title, gave fans three  options, namely Uyirka, Kaappaan and Meetpan. Uyirka emerged the winner but later Anand disclosed that his team felt that Kaappaan would be best suited , so they chose that. Ltd. has announced its  association with HY Media, one of China's most prominent Production and Distribution companies, for the Chinese release of "2.0", the magnum opus of director Shankar, starring pan-Asian Superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar. HY Media have ongoing collaborations with major Hollywood studios such as Sony, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, Universal, and Disney. 2.0, produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, is touted to be the biggest film in the history of Indian cinema. Dubbed and subtitled versions of 2.0 are slated to release in China in 10,000 theaters with 56,000 screens (including 47,000 3D screens) in May 2019, the widest 3D release for any foreign film in history. Lyca Productions says that it  recognizes China as a major film market, and looks forward to building a long and fruitful relationship with HY Media. The much awaited Shankar's magnum opus, the Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 is soon to have a grand international audio launch  at the Burj Park in Dubai on 27th October. Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar plays the main villain while B Town actor Sudhanshu Pandey who debuted in Kollywood with Billa 2, plays another bad guy. Today, Sudhanshu, the tall and handsome baddie, is in Chennai yet again, to complete a patchwork portion of the film, "I have some shooting left, as part of the patchwork. So I will be in Chennai for a day or two."
