Film Review: Vimanam

 Zee Studios' Vimanam starring Samuthirakani, hit theatres on June 9th. Samuthirakani plays Veeraya, a physically challenged single father, ekeing out a living somwhow, but blessed with a bright little  boy Raju ( Master Dhruvan), who is good at studies and has a devouring  passion for aetoplanes. He dreams of becoming a pilot. The doting dad is heartbroken when he child is diagnosed with a terminal disease. With just a few weeks to live,  the father now wants to somehow fulfill the desire of the child to travel in an aeroplane. But his low income and piling misfortune make this dream seem impossible. What happens next? Is the child's dream fulfilled? The performances of Sanuthirakani and Dhruvan bring out the deep bond between the duo and the casting seems perfectly done. The rest of the cast are also aptly chosen. Meera Jasmine in a cameo leaves an impact. The scenes with kids at the school bring out their innocence and elicit smiles. Film Review : Takkar

 Takkar, the Sidharth and Divyansha starrer directed by Karthik G Krish, hit screens on June 9th. Gunasekar or Guns ( Sidharth) comes to the city with dreams to make it big in life but ends up with a series of compromises. Caught up in the deadly web of a Korean gangster, he is pushed to overcome his fears and get into action mode to survive. Circumstances lead him to meet Lucky ( Divyansha Kaushik) a rich girl on the run, who doesnt believe in love. In the meanwhile  a deadly gang is after her, while her tycoon father too wants her back in order to marry her off to another businessman. Both Guns and Lucky are now together on the run from danger and a hopeless life.  Does love bloom between the Guns and Lucky? Is he able to save her life and his own as well? Sidharth seems to have entered into full on action mode in this film.  His lean, muscled physique makes the action scenes credible.  Divyansha does justice to her role and there are a few brief moments of connect between the duo. B

'Dancing Rose’ Shabheer Kallarakkal starrer Mystery-Thriller “Birthmark”

  Birthmark is a mystery drama written, directed, and produced by Vikram Shreedharan. The film is based on a unique story premise that will offer a first-of-its-kind cinematic experience to the audiences. Actor Shabheer Kallarkkal, who shot to fame for his outstanding performance as ‘Dancing Rose’ in Sarpatta Parambarai plays the lead character. Mirnaa plays the female protagonist in this movie. Director Vikram Shreedharan says, “Birthmark is a mystery drama that revolves around two lead characters – Daniel (a) Danny, played by Shabheer Kallarakkal, and Jennifer, played by Mirnaa. The story is set in the 90s, where Danny, a soldier returns home after the Kargil war and decides to commute his pregnant wife to a ‘Birth Village’ named Dhanvantri, a place known for facilitating natural birth delivery without complications and surgeries. The practice of birth villages still exists in many parts of India. This story is a fictional presentation based on the experiences of these lead character
