Film Review: Vimanam

Zee Studios' Vimanam starring Samuthirakani, hit theatres on June 9th. Samuthirakani plays Veeraya, a physically challenged single father, ekeing out a living somwhow, but blessed with a bright little boy Raju ( Master Dhruvan), who is good at studies and has a devouring passion for aetoplanes. He dreams of becoming a pilot. The doting dad is heartbroken when he child is diagnosed with a terminal disease. With just a few weeks to live, the father now wants to somehow fulfill the desire of the child to travel in an aeroplane. But his low income and piling misfortune make this dream seem impossible. What happens next? Is the child's dream fulfilled? The performances of Sanuthirakani and Dhruvan bring out the deep bond between the duo and the casting seems perfectly done. The rest of the cast are also aptly chosen. Meera Jasmine in a cameo leaves an impact. The scenes with kids at the school bring out their innocence and elicit smiles. The way kids need to be brough...
