  Actor Manoj Bharathiraja is making his debut as a director through 'Margazhi Thingal' bankrolled by Director Suseenthiran's Vennila Productions. While 'Iyakkunar Imayam' Bharathiraja plays a very important role, the film has newcomers Shyam Selvan, Rakshana, and Naksha Saran in lead characters.  Bharathiraja and music maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja have teamed up after 31 years for this film.
