  Actor Manoj Bharathiraja is making his debut as a director through 'Margazhi Thingal' bankrolled by Director Suseenthiran's Vennila Productions. While 'Iyakkunar Imayam' Bharathiraja plays a very important role, the film has newcomers Shyam Selvan, Rakshana, and Naksha Saran in lead characters.  Bharathiraja and music maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja have teamed up after 31 years for this film.   Actors Vemal and Suri are teaming up after a long time for 'Badava' produced by music director John Peter under J Studios International banner. More than 40 actors have acted in the film. It stars Shrita as heroine, Ram of 'KGF' fame as the villain, while Devadarshini, Namo Narayanan, Vinodhini, TSR Saravana Sakthi and Sam will be seen in key roles. K.V. Nandha has directed the film. Saravana Abhiraman is the art director and Vinod Kanna is the cinematographer. The stunts are designed by Siruthai Ganesh and choreography is by Dinesh, Sridhar and Dina. Nikil Murukan is taking care of public relations. The songs are penned by John Peter, Viveka, Kabilan Vairamuthu, Ilayakamban and Swarnalatha.
