The Yashodha trailer which released recently, garnered a huge response from Samantha fans. The medical thriller directed by Hareesh Narayan and Hari Shankar aka Hari Hareesh, shows Samantha in action mode, with the story dealing with the issue of surrogacy.
Today, actor Samantha has posted a heartfelt note on her social media handles, disclosing the reason for her recent absence from the platforms, and expressing her appreciation for the love and support of her fans to the Yashoda trailer, the deep connection which she said, gave her the courage to deal with the challenges life is throwing her.
Penning a courageous note, Sam revealed that she is suffering from an auto-immune disease called Myositis and is undergoing treatment for the same, which is taking longer than anticipated. She also shared a photo of herself from the hospital.
In her heartfelt note, which drew a flood of responses from fans and well wishers, the Yashodha actor said,
"Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was
overwhelming. It is this love and connection
that I share with all of you, that gives me the
strength to deal with the seemingly
unending challenges that life throws at me.
A few months back I was diagnosed with an
autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was
hoping to share this after it had gone into
remission. But it is taking a little longer than
I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don't
always need to put up a strong front.
Accepting this vulnerability is something
that I am still struggling with. The doctors
are confident that I will make a complete
recovery very soon. I have had good days
and bad physically and
emotionally.... and even when it feels like I
can't handle one more day of this, somehow
that moment passes. I guess it can only
mean that I am one more day closer to
recovery.
I love You
THIS TOO SHALL PASS "
We wish the brave girl that she is, a speedy recovery !
