Sisu a, raw, brutally hard-hitting film set in WW2 Finland!

 

 The screenplay of this brutal, raw, action packed, period flick SISU, has been set in the backdrop of Northern Finland in the year 1944 and is centred round an elderly  man named Aatomi Korpi (Jorma Tommila) who is a war veteran.





The film debuted at the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival. The film premiered in Finland on 27 January 2023 and is releasing worldwide on April 28th 2023. 

SYNOPSIS: After having lost his family and home during the war, Korpi has reconciled himself to a lonely place leading a lonely life in Lapland. A miner who attempts to unearth gold and keeps on digging, he turns lucky as he  manages to dig out a rich gold deposit!

 He sets out to deposit the gold at the nearest bank located 563 miles away but on the way, he is caught and confronted by Nazi soldiers headed by the ruthless SS Obersturmfuhrer Bruno Helldorf (Aksel Hennie) and his deputy Wolf (Jack Doolan) and their 'mission' is to destroy all settlements as well settlers, on their way out of Finland!

But what they do not know is that Aatomi Korpi is a skilled fighter and a much respected veteran commando, who is not  immortal but who does not want to die. He will never give up.

Watch the breathtaking, bone-splitting action packed, nerve- shattering thriller to know the rest! A definite must watch for lovers of action flicks and war stories, with spine-chilling thrills, full-on action and twists at every step.
