 Shanthnu starrer Raavana Kottam hit theatres on May 12th, directed by Vikram Sugumaran. Senguttavan ( Shanthnu) lives in a village in Ramnathapuram, headed by Bose ( Prabhu) who is much respected.  His best friend is Madhi maran (Sanjay Saravanan). The village is, unique because Bose does not allow caste issues to pollute minds and is against any politicos entering the village to spread hate in the peaceful environs.  Music School, starring Shriya Saran andSharman Joshi with Prakash Raj and others, produced and directed by Paparao Biyyala, hit screens on May 12th with music by Ilayaraaja. The film is about an avid music teacher Mary ( Shriya Saran) who wants to change the lives of kids ( usually burdened by  homework and studies) and give them a taste of music and dance, adding magic in their lives. But she is hampered in her noble attempts  by a parent ( Prakash Raj) who is against his daughter taking an interest in music and dance. What ways does Mary resort to, to help her students and encourage their talent? The film has delightful performances by Shriya, Shaan and Sharman Joshi and every cast member.The music is based on  The classic Hollywood movie, The Sound of music. The visuals are excellent.and have a candy floss effect On screen.There is  enough drama and emotion to keep the viewer engaged. On the flip side,too much of a good thing can bea tad boring after a while...

One day, he meets Anu ( Meetha Raghunath) a quiet, lovinv girl and love blossoms. However, after marriage, problems crop up between the duo when his snoring problem is revealed. What happens next? Does true love win? Stellar performances by every member of the cast, aided by  some excellent writing, perfecf casting, situational humor and characters caught up in a whirlpool of emotions, all make this slice of life film, well worth a watch.  The emotional highs and lows, the peek into the sweet and sour moments into the character's lives, the depth of emotions explored, always humor just a skip away, all add to the viewing experience of this family entertainer....

 Dream Warrior Pictures' Farhana, directed by Nelson Venkatesan, starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the titular role, hit screens on May 12th. Farhana ( Aishwarya Rajesh) comes from a humble backgound. But in an attempt to get more incentives as work and better her life,  she joins a different division at the call centre, where she lands up with a totally unexpected kind of work, that of 'friendly' chats with men.  Though she is repulsed, things change, when a caller, a total stranger ( Selvaraghavan) develops empathy and  a bond with her.
