Lyca Production Subaskaran presents and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies have produced the magnum opus “Ponniyin Selvan” The prestigious project has been shot across India and the final schedules of the film were shot in Madhya Pradesh and Hyderabad. The final scenes were shot in Pollachi. With this the first part of the film has been wrapped up said the makers.  Ponniyin Selvan is a widely-acclaimed novel and celebrated across generations that lured readers. When many failed to cash in on the opportunity of making it into a film, Mani Ratnam took it in his hands. This also made several people resort to novel reading before the completion of the film. "This is a film of a lifetime and can never happen again in any of our careers. We are excited to watch the film," say the stars who have been a part of the project. The anticipation has been mutual across the world.  “Ponniyin Selvan-1” will hit the screens in the summer of 2022.

 Kodiyil Oruvan is a mass action entertainer with Vijay Antony in the lead. The amma sentiment forms a strong base in the film much like  his hit film Pichaikkaran Vijay Antony plays Vijayaraghavan an IAS aspirant who lands in Chennai, only to get entangled with the wrath of policticians and goons as he protects youngsters in a slum from their criminal network.  But despite the setbacks the baddies cause to him,  Vijayraghavan rises to become an MLA and manages to make a model ward.  A battle royale  then ensues between the good and the  bad. Mass dialogues and fights form highlights of the film directed by Ananda Krishnan. Aathmika is the glam element. Political dialogues and racy fights are part of the package. Nivas K Prasana handles the music.  The film is playing in theatres from Sep 17th.

 Annabelle Sethupathy, directed by debutant Deepak Sunderajan stars Vijay Sethupathy, Taapsee, Radhika Sarathkumar,Yogi Babu, Jagapathi Babu and a host of actors. The period fantasy, horror comedy rovolves around a grand palace built by Veera Sethupathi Raja (Vijay Sethupathi) for his British lady love Annabelle (Taapsee). But due to the greed of another ruler ( Jagapathy Babu) who murders them, the palace lands up in ruins, as Veera's cook ( Yogi Babu) poisons the greedy raja and his entire family in revenge.  As a result, all of them end up being ghosts trapped inside the palace. Cut to modern times, where Rudra (Taapsee) and her family of con artists land up in the haunted palace due to a quirk of fate. The shooting of Actor Shanthnu Bhagyaraj’s Raavana Kottam, directed by Vikram Sugumaran, and produced by Mr. Kannan Ravi of Kannan Ravi Group has been wrapped up successfully.  Sharing the news, producer Mr. Kannan Ravi says, “The journey with Raavana Kottam has been special, and memorable.
