A love story that stands the test of time, the story begins when the a boy and a girl, who later grow up to be Prajin and Sinamikaa, develop a close friendship. But before they can declare their love for each other, the girl has to leave the country and doesnt come back.
Cut to the present, when Prajin, who is now grown up, is forced to marry a relative ( Manisha Yadav) by his family, as they can no longer bear to see him pining for someone with whom he has lost all contact for a decade.
But the wife's love is spurned by the husband who stillgt b yearns for his lost love, to the extent that she loses her mind and is admitted in an asylum.
Suddenly out of the blue however, comes Sinamakaa, who plays the grown up version of Prajin's school love. Now, she wants him back in her life.
What was the reason for her disappearance? What happens when she finds out that he is marrried? Do the lovers unite?
The highlight of the film are the school portions which make for interesting portions. The teenage actors do a superb job with their fine act.
Prajin as the older version looks dapper and brings credibility to his role as the pining lover, the cruel husband who shuns his wife and the man caught up in hope and despair when his lover returns.
Sinamikaa does justice to her role while Manisha Yadav as usual, leaves a mark.
Redin Kingsley brings comic relief as the close friend. The visuals are pleasant and so is the music.
While the school portions are entertaining and the suspense is,retained till Sinamikaa's return, after that the screenplay slows down and loses steam.
The reasons for her absence, her return and her expectation that he didn't wait for his love to return, seem far fetched.
The doses of melodrama and some incidents which feel added for convenience take away from the momentum built up. A bitvof fine tuning would have helped the film keep the pace it builds up.
