 Suraj ( Kanna Ravi ) is an actor who is in the lookout for a special role. He is ecstatic when he bags the role of an undercover cop.  As the story proceeds, Suraj gets further and further into the skin of his character, Arunmozhi ( Kanna Ravi). As the film story unfolds and the shooting proceeds, Suraj finds that sonething is amiss. Unable to get rid of the feeling, he delves deeper into the story of Arunmozhi and finds sone startling truths. What does he discover? How does it impact his film? Veduvan has an intetesting plot helped by a non- linear screenplay, going back and forth in not just Time but also letting the reel  life characters in the film  shoot intersperse with the lives of the real characters. All of this builds up the suspense and piques interest levels all through. The cast is a carefully, well selected one,  which aids the film no end.  Kanna Ravi  is simply  terrific as both Suraj and Arunmozhi. The actor proves his talent yet...

The patriarch of a family dies, leaving a will which gives a portion of his wealth to an unknown girl the family has never heard of.  When the will comes up for probate before a judge ( Sonia Agarwal ) she discovers that the family has committed a fraud by bribing an imposter to pretend to be the unknown girl so as to get hold of that property unscrupulously. The judge designates a young court SI , (Vikranth) to investigate and produce the real beneficiary before the court. His search for the girl ( Alekhya ) leads him deeper into her life and also  to another scam which has changed the course of her life and led to her meeting the patriarch who willed a flat in her name.  Who is this girl? Why did the patriarch leave this flat to her? What scam was her family affected by? How does the judge resolve the issue of the will ?   செவன் ஸ்கிரீன் ஸ்டுடியோ (Seven Screen Studio) சார்பில், தயாரிப்பாளர் SS லலித் குமார் தயாரிப்பில், நடிகர் விக்ரம் பிரபு & L.K அக்‌ஷய் குமார் நடிப்பில், அறிமுக இயக்குநர்  சுரேஷ் ராஜகுமாரி இயக்கத்தில், மாறுபட்ட களத்தில் உண்மைச் சம்பவத்தை அடிப்படையாக வைத்து உருவாகியுள்ள “சிறை” படம், வரும் டிசம்பர் 25 ஆம் தேதி  கிறிஸ்துமஸ் கொண்டாட்டமாக உலகமெங்கும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகிறது. இது குறித்த அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அறிவிப்பை படக்குழுவினர் இன்று வெளியிட்டுள்ளனர். மற்றும் இப்படத்தின் சேட்டிலைட் & ஒடிடி உரிமைகளை Zee நிறுவனம் கைப்பற்றியுள்ளது. டாணாக்காரன்  இயக்குநர் தமிழ், தான் உண்மையில் சந்தித்த அனுபவத்தை வைத்து, இப்படத்தின் கதையை எழுதியுள்ளார். இயக்குநர் வெற்றிமாறனின் இணை இயக்குநர்  சுரேஷ் ராஜகுமாரி இப்படத்தினை  இயக்கியுள்ளார். ஒரு காவலதிகாரிக்கும், விசாரணைக் கைதிக்குமான பயணம் தான் இப்படத்தின் மையம். நடிகர் விக்ரம் பிரபு நாயகனாக நடிக்க,  ஜோடியாக நடிகை அனந்தா (Anantha ) நடித்துள்ளார். இப்படத்தில் தயாரிப்பாளர் SS லலித் குமார் மகன் LK அக்‌ஷய் குமார் அறிமுகமாகிறார்....

 A hardworking, simple hearted, and much respected farmer ( Vidharth ) lives with his wife ( Rakshana ) and young son, whom he wants to educate in an English medium school. For the donation amount, he mortgages his land with a local person knoen to him.  To his utter shock he discovers that the land he mortgaged, has actually been auctioned off by the local bank,to someone else. He soon realises  that he has been a victim of a fraudulent bank scam and will now lose everything he holds dear.  He has no choice but to fight back.  But the opponent is too big and powerful. Does he succeed in finding justice? Does he win back his land? Who helps him? Director V Gajendran has touched upon a unique subject and has superbly executed his vision in a most simple but engaging manner, educating the public about a vital issue and for this he deserves kudos.  The casting is superb.
