  The series, marks the debut of Prasanth Pandiyaraj as the hero Kottai Karrupusamy, a rookie cop who gets a job on recommendation of his uncle (Kaali Venkatesh), after failing at every government exam his aged father ( Balaji Sakthivel) gets him to write. From the first day on the job,  Karuppu, has to learn the ropes the tough way, being an  innocent young man unused to the ways of the world at large. How does he manage to pick up the nitty gritties of the job,  and how he tackles criminals, a jaded system and becomes tougher as the days go by,  forms the story.   The star cast and technicians of the upcoming romantic fantasy entertainer Double Occupancy, jointly produced by Avni Movies and Benzz Media, recently met the press during the film's grand audio- visual event held in Chennai. Directed by debutant Aswin Kandasamy , Double Occupancy stars Santhosh in the lead role, alongside Samyuktha Viswanathan , Reshma Venkatesh , and Vinodh Kishan. The film also features VTV Ganesh, Bhagavathi Perumal (Bucks), and several prominent actors in key roles. Music for the film has been composed by Sam C.S, while cinematography is handled by Santhakumar Chakravarthy.
