Movie Review : Mellisai

 Rajan, a PT master ( Kishore) is a good singer who participates in music reality shows. His wife Vidya ( Subatra Robert) works as a teacher in the same school. The duo have a boy and girl and share a loving ethos at home.  But when his son Deepak, gets a job and starts earning in the IT field very young in life,  and Rajan job and music stint both go downhill, Deepak starts behaving arrogantly and soon the atmosphere at home becomes bitter. Fissures develop in the family.  What happens to this family? Do they ever get back on track ?  The film attempts to give a glimpse into a middle class life of an ideal family,  and takes a deep dive into personal relationships, highs and lows, behaviour patterns, ego clashes  that can destroy homes, and careers  as well. Movie Review : Granny

 A mysterious death of a child occurs in a remote village. As the cops investigate, a horrible secret comes to light.  In the meanwhile, in another corner of the village, a young London returned techie  couple find a mysterious  old lady who has fainted while entering their ancestral home. They try to  help her without knowing who she is. The lady is actually Occhai ( Vadivukkarasi) whose husband, the original owner of the house, was a sorceror who held a horrible secret, which enabled him to retain his youth.  Now in the present day,  the same old lady has returned to the ancestral home. As a result, the lives of the techie's two young kids are in grave danger. What happens next? The movie has an intruguing plot which is engaging and terrifying enough, befitting the genre. The Occhai character evokes ample fear as well, thereby elevating the horror level of the story . The film uses lighting and sets in the right measure to create stupefying visuals. ...
