Movie Review : Police Family

  Dhana ( Saravanan) is a former local  don peddling drugs and in cahoots with politicos. In a vendetta when his family is killed, he moves to Madurai with his son.  But in Madurai, one day,  his son gets killed.  4 cops who had beaten him up and left him in a forest, (where he was later murdered)are suspended. Dhana thinks they have killed his son and is bent on wreaking revenge. Who has killed Dhana's son? What happens to the cops? Does Dhana find the killer? Paruthiveeran actor Saravanan plays the dreaded Dhana. Saravanan leads the story with his solid act and is perfectly cast in this role.  The other actors perform adequately doing a good job.  The film keeps up the suspense and  stunts portions and chases add to the thrill factor.  The film does send out a message of sorts, without preaching. How the repurcussions of a small action can reverberate is the theme of the film.  The film is shot on open meadies, jungles and remote areas...

Movie Review : Vowels

  The film is an anthology of five stories with different characters. Martin, a fashion photographer who reviews films as a hobby, meets a like- minded student Nakshatra, who is interested in cinema just like him. But after their meeting he murders her based on a film inspired method. This story ends rather abruptly with a confusing message, though the performances of the two actors is good.   Karthik( Raj Ayappan) passion is  bike racing but now he has a wife and kid so cuts down on his racing. In a quirk of fate, he meets his ex- lover when his bike crashes into hers. As he admits her  in hospital,  the accident takes him back to his love story with Meera and the reason he parted ways with her, and brings him to a realisation.  Yugi Sethu saves a young man from suicide.
