Puja ( Simran) is a rich North Indian girl who falls in love with her college mate Shiva ( Aadhav) and admires his loving family, as she herself grew up motherless. But her father is totally against the match. However one day day Puja takes Siva on a trip to Kashi to meet her mother who had eloped with her lover, abandoning Puja as a child. But a tragedy strikes and Puja goes missing once there. What has happened to her? How does her father react to this news? Why is Shiva blamed for her disappearance? Is she found? The film is basically a love story, written blending a North Indian family into the story, perhaps for a novelty factor. The story thus gets a chance to move to Kashi for the latter half, thanks to the heroine's mother connection to the city. This perhaps is added to get a novel flavour and different location fresh feel into a love story. The college portions are light and lively, with emotions and action appearing later.
