Movie Review : Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil
Jeevarathinam ( Jiiva ) is a polular politocian in a small village, and keeps himself involved in the local affairs and trouble -shooting for families, in the constant hope of garnering votes. One day, an unexpected quarrel breaks out between two rival neighbours, ilavarasu and Mani ( Ilavarasan and Thambi Ramaiah), due to the fact that amidst the pre -wedding celebrations of Ilavarasu's daughter, (Prathana Nadhan) the Mani's old father passes away and he insists that the funeral procession be taken out the next morning, at the exact same timing as the wedding next door. This becomes a major problem as both houses are in very close proximity without any boundary wall, which would create chaos caused by a funeral and a wedding next to each other. Jeeva tries his best to intervene but due to past rivalries, neither of the stubborn, egotistical men refuse to change the timing of the muhurtham nor funeral.
