Movie Review : Fire

A young physiotherapist ( Balaji Murgadoss) disappears suddenly and when his parents go to the cops, a senior official ( JSK) swings into action to find out what happened to him.

The investigative trail leads the cops to several women who have been blackmailed by him , filming them in compromising positions under the guise of falling in love with them.

What has happened to him?  With so many women's horror stories surrounding him,  has one of them done away with him in an act of vengeance?

The story begins on a suspenseful note and the screenplay moves the story forward at a steady pace, enough to keep the viewer interested.

Balaji Murgadoss fits his role to the T and makes a convincing manipulator, with his dialogue delivery, voice and performance. His costars Sakshi , Chandini, Rachita and others, portray  well, women from  different backgrounds showing how far wide he had cast his net, to women of different walks of life.

JSk as the cop and his colleagues do a fine job and the investigative portions are played out in a convincing manner. Melodrama is kept to the minimum which works in favor of the film.

On the flip side, the seduction scenes seem to play out too long and give a different feel to the thriller which could have been avoided perhaps.

The makers have tried to give a message through the storyline.

The visuals and settings are good and so is the music.

Watch out for a twist in the tale at the climax.
