Movie Review: Rao Bahadur
Ramappa Rao Bahadur ( Sathyadev) is now an aged man, belonging to a royal lineage that he is proud of. He is delusional and undergoing treatments for his various diseases, overseen by family doctor Achari ( Vikas Muppala). His main aim is to find out whether his second son, now deceased as a child, was actually his own or not, as he strongly suspects his wife Renuka( Deepa Thomas). Though Achari is hell bent on avoiding the exhumation of the body, Ramappa refuses to give up. What happens to him? Does he discover the truth he seeks? The plot follows a non-linear narration which takes getting used to. It also needs the viewer to be alert to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The visuals are amazing, be it the palace( the interior and exterior of it), the rich song sequences with exciting looks and costumes, props and color along with the interesting choreography on keeping with the song lyrics. The vfx team too deserves kudos as do the costume and make up...
