Movie Review: Dark

 The story revolves around a young man, ( Ajay Karthik) working as an assistant director who searches for accomodation in Chennai, nearer to his office.  As luck would have it,  he lands up in a haunted house, owned by Karunakaran ( K Bhagyaraj) where he undergoes a series of attacks and daunting experiences which even lead to a death. Balachander ( Natty) is the cop in charge of the investigation. What does he uncover about the strange goings on? The psycological horror written by Dada director Ganesh Babu and directed by debutant Kalyan has an interesting storyline, narrated in a novel and engaging manner, which keep up the suspense till the end.  The music and bgm by Manu Ramesan is not loud, obtrusive or jarring as is the usual fare in such films,  which is a plus.  The bgm takes the lead only where necessary allowing gaps of silence. Movie Review : Gatta Kusthi 2

 Gatta Kusthi 2 takes the story of part 1 to the next level. Veera ( Vishnu Vishal ) is happily married to his wrestler wife, Keerthy ( Aishwarya Lekshmi ) and the duo have a girl child, Mathi Malar ( Baby Zara ). Veera supports Keerthy's professional life by being a stay at home dad aka house husband. His daughter dotes on him and the neighbourhood wives are all his buddies, as he shares cooking, household tips and aerobic classes with them.  Things are going well but the couple's loving bond is shaken when a jealous wrestling coach ( Tarak Ponnappa ) manipulates Veera in a way that jeopardises their marriage, soon landing them in the family court, as a furious Keerthy wants a divorce. Veera is broken- hearted  and Mathi Malar is distraught as she doesnt want to leave her dad, and wants the parents to unite. What has caused this rift? Can the duo's families reunite them somehow?
