Movie Review -Aaromaley

Ajith ( Kishen Das) who has had several  love failures early in life, after much struggle, lands a job at a matrimony agency. His boss lady is Anjali ( Shivathmika) who shows him the ropes.

But, at one point, Ajit has differences of opinion professionally with her,  which causes tension and even affects his job.
But just when he thinks he's going to be out of a job,  she throws him a challenge that leads to many a discovery about himself,  about Anjali and about finding love.

Do the duo unite or does their past outweigh their future prospects at finding love again?

Shivathmika shines as the exec, dedicated to her job, carrying her role with conviction. Her voice, diction and dialogue delivery add to her performance, bringing her character to life.
Kishen Das delivers a noteworthy act, impressive as the teenager and later as the confused youngster.  His scenes with his parents in the second half evoke emotions in the viewer. However, there is not much chemistry between the leads, except for a montage song and some warm moments, though both have done a superb job. Kishen appears with a perenially sad and confused look  almost all the time, something the director could have looked into.

The songs are good as is the bgm. However, the dulled color tones used all through the film,  seems to add a certain gloom and heaviness, a far cry from evoking joy, love or romance.
VTV Ganesh lights up the scenes he appears in and his portions elevate the film.

It's not very clear why Anjali decides to leave him and travel all the way to Australia instead of sorting out her feelings with her love. A bit more depth of characters would have been welcome. Though the actors are good and the story and setting garner interest, the writing does not give us enough to actually feel for the characters.
Dragon fame Harshath Khan leaves a mark with his presence.

Overall, Aaromaley is a rom- com with enough doses of both,  making for an entertaining watch.
