Movie Review : Warrant web series

The series, marks the debut of Prasanth Pandiyaraj as the hero Kottai Karrupusamy, a rookie cop who gets a job on recommendation of his uncle (Kaali Venkatesh), after failing at every government exam his aged father ( Balaji Sakthivel) gets him to write.


From the first day on the job,  Karuppu, has to learn the ropes the tough way, being an  innocent young man unused to the ways of the world at large.

How does he manage to pick up the nitty gritties of the job,  and how he tackles criminals, a jaded system and becomes tougher as the days go by,  forms the story.

The series, gives a, slice- of- life feel, with a realistic making, the large plethora of actors, adding to the viewing experience, with their authentic performances adding value, like Balaji Sakthivel, Kaali Venkat to name a few.

Hero Prasanth, with his appearance and body language, fits perefectly into the role,  with a solid performance, showcasing the slow but steady changes in his confidence and personality, as he handles different types of cases.

A romantic track doesn't really add much to the proceedings.

The series starts off on a promising, suspenseful and gripping footing, but tapers off a bit as characters are introduced and backstories revealed. The series takes its own time to build up but manages to do so quite well, keeping the viewer invested in the proceedings with ample emotional connect with the characters, rivetting scenes,  and a plot that builds up to a gripping finish.

A suspenseful, gripping, watch.

  Kali ( Kalaiyarasan) and Anasuya ( Deepa Bala) have a love marriage  and now she is pregnant. As per family custom, they travel to a remote forest temple to pray to a goddess.  After the rituals, the family returns while the couple are set to travel back on Kali's bike. But just as they are about to do so, something happens which changes Kali's life forever. What happens to the couple?
