Movie Review : Parrisu

New faces like Janhvika, Jai Bala, Kiran Pradeep, and Sudhakar have appeared in this film. Along with them, debutants like Aadukalam Naren, Manobala, Sentrayan, Sachu, Anjali Devi, and Chinna Ponnu make up the grand cast.

The film 'Parisu' was written and directed by Kala Alluri, who studied at a film college.

Janhvi ( Jaahnvika) is a student in an engineering college. She is interested in studies and sports. Her father is an army officer.
Seeing Janaki's beauty and intelligence, some students from her college try to woo her with  gifts, and  bouquets. They yearn to confess their love to her.
But she  ignores them, and focuses on moving towards her goal.

Even though she is a modern woman and trained in shooting, she loves rural traditions and is involved in agriculture and is interested in social service.

After proper training, she develops her shooting skills and wins first prize in the Asian-level shooting competition held in Cairo, Egypt. She now dreams of joining the army as per her father's wishes.

One day, at a cousin's house party, she
meet Rajesh, a photographer who came to photograph the event. They become good friends but when he confesses his love, she refuses it as she is focussed on her  life goal.

But life takes a turn when  witnesses a hit-and-run accident in which a lorry hits a car. She saves the person inside the car and helps the police catch the culprit. But now, the avenging conspirators behind it, kidnap Janhvi. How does she face those enemies? Did she fulfill her military dream?

The film is based on the idea that the greatest gift a son or daughter can give to their parents is to fulfill their dreams. This is the story of a daughter who fulfills the dream of her father who wants to enlist his daughter in the army. The film is about the challenges and trials the heroine faces to give that gift to her dad.

Janhvika  very confidently plays the lead role of Janhvi and impressively brings out every facet, from vibrant college student, a compassionate woman who helps others, a skilled shooter, a daughter who strives to fulfill her father's dream, a farmer, and an army soldier.

Although she is a calm person who faces everything with a smile, she appears in a different avatar when she fights her enemies in fight scenes. An all rounder, she displays maturity and strength, be it as farmer on a tractor or a soldier. Without being harsh, she strongly and boldly confronts her challenges.

Through her character, the director aims to find gives hope to women to follow their goals steadfastly without being deviated or distracted.

Kiran Pratap plays the role of a college student who goes around the heroine's college campus as John.He makes people laugh with his body language and actions.
Jai Bala, who plays Rajesh, impresses with a noteworthy  performance.

The combined team of Manobala and Chinnapponnu's son, Sentrayan, try to evoke soms laughs which could have been better handled.

Aadukalam Narain, a former army officer, who plays Janhvika's father, comes across as a loving father who nurtures the dreams of his beloved daughter. He aces the role with his histronics.

Sudhakar, who plays the role of a businessman who runs a hospital and steals organs, is also noteworthy for his villainous portrayal.

There are five well executed songs in the fil
Shankar Selvaraj has done the cinematography deserves mention.

Rajeesh has composed the music in an enjoyable manner.

Hamara's unobtrusive background music is a strong point for the film.

Without compromising the flow of the screenplay.C.S. Premkumar and Ram Gopi have edited the film.

Fight directors Koti and Ilango have done a good job.The fight scenes in which the heroine performs without dupes are staged naturally.

Some verses also speak of the century-long history of the Indian Army.

There are many lines that give courage and self-confidence to women. An example is the verse in which Janvika speaks as a special guest at a college function.

Although it is a commercial film, this film has been created to give women confidence and the ability to face challenges without any obscenity, double entendres, or unnecessary violence.

Despite few lacunae and  flaws, overall Kala Alluri's intention to make a good point can be appreciated.
Parisu is a film that can be enjoyed by family audiences, giving hope and strength to women.
