Suriya, Jyotika and Karthi at grand Thambi audio launch!

The grand audio launch of the Jyotika , Karthi starrer Thambi was held today. Speaking om the occasion, Jyotika said, " This film is special for me since my brother Suraj Sadanah turns producer with his Paralell Minds banner. And also, my brother-in-law , Karthi, is acting with me. I can hardly believe we are sharing screen space together!" About Sathyaraj who plays thier father she added, " My kids were very impressed that I was acting with him. They said, ' you are so lucky you are acting with Katappa!'" She revealed that she was thrilled to see herself on the first look poster of the film, something which is usually reserved for the heroes.
The film is directed by Jeethu Joseph with musuc by Govind Vasantha of hit film 96 fame. Speaking on the occasion, Govind disclosed an interesting nugget, " After Uriyadi, I recieved the very first gift from a producer. It was Suriya who gifted me a Mac Book laptop. In fact, it was on this laptop that I composed the music of Thambi and sent it to Jeethu."
Jyotika's next film Ponmagal Vandhal also has music composed by Jeethu.
Actor Karthi was glad he got to work with Sathyaraj who has been a close family friend. "I learnt so much on sets from him. In fact from the beginning I was convinced that only he could carry off this role." he revealed. He was all praise for anni Jyotika's preparation, dedication and attention to detail. " She would take the dialogues one month in advance and come fully prepared to sets."
Suriya was thrilled that he had been hearing positive things about these movie right from the start of the project.
The event was graced by the cast, crew and dignitaries who spoke on the occasion, which included Karthi, Nikhila Vimal, Anson Paul, director Jeethu Joseph, Suriya, Rajsekar Pandian, producer Suraj Sadanah, Gnanavel Raja, SR Prabhu, caneraman RD Rajasekhar, lyricists Vivek and Karthik Netha amongst others. Actor Sivakumar launched the audio. Suriya's sister, singer, Brindha Sivakumar was also present. Sowcar Janaki has done an important role. Rasukutty if Super Deluxe fame has also acted in the film.
